Copy the 1.12 PKG file directly to the root directory of the USB drive. Plug the USB into the rightmost slot of your PS3.

God of War: Ascension was notoriously difficult to emulate. Early versions of RPCS3 crashed during the first Fury fight. The 1.12 update PKG is for playable emulation — it fixes memory access violations and allows Vulkan renderer stability. Most RPCS3 setup guides explicitly require this PKG.
