Chrisye's rise to prominence was meteoric. While his early work with the progressive band Gipsy on the 1976 album Guruh Gipsy garnered critical acclaim, it was 1977 that proved to be a watershed year. He recorded two works that would cement his legend: the song "Lilin-Lilin Kecil" and the iconic soundtrack for the film Badai Pasti Berlalu (The Storm Will Surely Pass).
