Aix-en-Provence is surrounded by the picturesque Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, known for its rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves. The city's many parks and gardens, such as the Parc de la Duranne and the Jardin de la Fontaine, offer peaceful retreats for those looking to relax and unwind.

The museum boasts an impressive collection of art from the 16th century to the present day, including works by renowned artists such as Cézanne, Picasso, and Van Gogh. Pam was particularly fascinated by the museum's collection of Provençal art, which offered a glimpse into the region's rich cultural heritage.
