Her most celebrated film of this era, and the one she has called her most memorable, is (1984). Directed by the maverick filmmaker Celso Ad. Castillo—a man ranked alongside legends like Lino Brocka and Ishmael Bernal for bringing the "Second Golden Age" of Philippine cinema—the film starred fellow pene icon Pepsi Paloma and Janet Bordon. The film's success was so significant that it allowed Castillo to visit Malacañang Palace and meet then-First Lady Imelda Marcos. She would later work with the director again on Brown Emmanuelle (1982), further cementing her status in the genre.

The term "pene movies" originates from the localized shorthand for explicit onscreen adult themes that populated Metro Manila theaters during a period of loose censorship monitoring. These productions were typically characterized by:
