Starting with version 2.24, a scripter named joined OmenScripts. DukeLupus specialized in creating .dll files, which added significant speed and CPU friendliness to OmenServe. Together, Tipi and DukeLupus became the core development duo. They worked to incorporate OS-Limits directly into the main script, created the new user interface and skin support, and integrated the new optional listmaker, QuickList. This period of intense development spanned versions 2.3 to 2.60, culminating in the improvements that would define version 2.70 and, by extension, the 2.71 release.
You specify directories for the script to "watch." When other users use a "trigger" (like !search ), the script automatically replies with matching files.
One theory suggests that Omenserve 2.71 might be a precursor to more advanced software, potentially developed by a government agency or a large corporation. This theory posits that the software was created as a proof-of-concept or a prototype, which was later abandoned or left unmaintained.
