The inspiration for Jennie came from , the CEO of Tombot, whose mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2011. After he was forced to take away her real dog for safety reasons—a traumatic experience for both—he realized the need for a substitute that could provide the same unconditional affection without the risks or maintenance of a live animal.
